ThoughtTap provides AI prompt optimization software designed to enhance developer productivity by transforming simple prompts into powerful, context-aware instructions for AI models. Our Service includes:

• Rule-based optimization engine for improved prompt quality
• Template system for common development scenarios
• Context analysis of your development environment
• Integration with various AI providers (using your own API keys)
• Web application and additional platforms (coming soon)

3. User Accounts and Registration

4. Subscription Plans and Billing

4.1 Free Tier

ThoughtTap offers a free tier with basic optimization features, including rule-based optimization, essential templates, and limited custom rules. The free tier is provided "as is" without warranty.

4.2 Pro Tier

Our Pro tier subscription ($6.99/month) includes advanced features such as:

• Advanced optimization rules for DevOps, architecture, and security
• Access to latest AI models through your own API keys
• 25+ specialized templates
• Optimization history and search functionality
• Priority customer support
• Additional custom rules and workspace configurations

4.3 Billing and Payment

• Recurring Billing: Pro subscriptions are billed monthly in advance
• Payment Processing: All payments are processed securely through Stripe
• Price Changes: We will provide 30 days notice of any price changes
• Taxes: You are responsible for any applicable taxes

4.4 Cancellation and Refunds

• You may cancel your Pro subscription at any time through your account settings
• Cancellations are effective at the end of the current billing period
• We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee for new Pro subscriptions
• Refunds beyond the guarantee period are at our discretion

5. Acceptable Use Policy

5.1 Permitted Use

You may use ThoughtTap for legitimate development and productivity purposes, including:

• Optimizing prompts for AI-assisted coding and development
• Improving communication with AI models for technical tasks
• Educational and learning purposes
• Commercial software development projects

5.2 Prohibited Use

The Service, including its software, design, text, graphics, and other content, is owned by ThoughtTap and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

6.2 Your Content

You retain ownership of any code, prompts, or other content you create or input into the Service. You grant us a limited license to process this content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

6.3 License to Use

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for your personal or commercial development activities.

7. Privacy and Data Protection

Your privacy is important to us. Our collection and use of your information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Key privacy principles:

• Your code and prompts are processed locally on your device
• We do not store or access your prompts or code on our servers
• You control your own AI provider API keys
• We collect minimal data necessary for service operation

8. Third-Party Services

ThoughtTap integrates with third-party AI providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google AI, etc.). Your use of these services through ThoughtTap is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies.

8.2 Payment Processing

Payment processing is handled by Stripe. Your payment information is subject to Stripe's terms of service and privacy policy.

8.3 Third-Party Disclaimer

We are not responsible for the availability, content, or practices of third-party services. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk.

9. Service Availability and Modifications

9.1 Service Availability

We strive to provide reliable service but cannot guarantee 100% uptime. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or technical issues.

9.2 Service Modifications

We reserve the right to modify, update, or discontinue features of the Service at any time. We will provide reasonable notice of material changes that affect paid features.

10. Disclaimers and Limitations

10.2 AI Content Disclaimer

ThoughtTap optimizes prompts but does not control or guarantee the output of AI models. AI-generated content may be inaccurate, inappropriate, or harmful. You are responsible for reviewing and validating all AI-generated content.

10.3 Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THOUGHTTAP SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOST PROFITS, DATA LOSS, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ThoughtTap from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any rights of others.
